MEMBERS NOTICE BOARD:

We are now fully open, but note that the Club-room and Armoury have no ventilation so they are a higher risk than the Range if things get busy.

Please contact me if you want more information.

We are only just beginning to take on new probationers, so there will be a waiting list until we catch up.

Welcome to Pinewood Pistol Club

Pinewood Pistol Club actively promotes a wide range of target shooting disciplines with 22 rimfire or pistol-calibre rifles & carbines and also air pistols. We teach newcomers the basics of air pistol and/or 22 precision rifle shooting, leading on to shooting the more advanced Gallery Rifle competitions if the member is interested. We also support competitive air pistol shooting.
The aim of the first few attendances will be to ensure that new members understand our safety procedures and conventions, and to teach them the basics of target shooting. After a month or so we try to show the various types of competitive shooting currently available. This should enable a new member to decide which shooting disciplines they would like to focus on. There is normally a six-month probationary period before full membership can be offered (subject to approval by the Committee), but all established probationary members will be invited to join in any competitions for which they have acquired the relevant skills.

Club nights are Tuesdays and Fridays - normally from 7:30 until 10-ish, but currently all attendees need to be squadded to limit the numbers in the building.

If you have any problems on Club nights there will always be a Range Officer (who should be in the office overlooking the range) who can advise you, or alternatively you can talk to me.

Don't forget to sign in the Range Attendance book each time you attend, even if you don't shoot. This covers you under the Club Insurance scheme and also enables us to track attendance as required by the Home Office. Probationers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent. The club has air-pistols, 22 rifles and pistol-calibre rifles for you to use as you qualify for them. However, you will soon find that as you get to know people they will be more than willing to talk to you about their favourite shooting disciplines.

Probationers pay £2 per night (and probationary membership lasts at least 6 months), Full annual membership (when offered) is £60 pa with a joining fee of £20.
Practice .22 ammunition is available for around £4.00 for a box of 50, which should last at least one evening. Note that unshot ammunition must be left at the club - taking it home is a serious offence.

The club is situated on the Berkshire/ Surrey / Hampshire borders.

If you are interested in becoming a probationary member please contact us using the Contact tab and include your name, date of birth, address and phone number together with details of your interest in target shooting and we will arrange an initial visit.
